Course outline: Equine Gateway workshop Part 1 (Group workshop)​

Timing: 9.30am - 5.00pm (ish): 

Please bring appropriate clothing for a stable yard and a packed lunch

Learning objectives for workshop:

Learn the difference between Zoopharmacognosy and Applied Zoopharmacognosy

How to communicate through the language of smell to help your horses health

Understand the self-selection method for horses

How to read responses

How smell and taste are used to achieve homeostasis

How plant extracts can effect physical and psychological function: Topics covered; physical problems, including bacteria and pain.

Understand the origins of behavioural problems

Understand the different routes of administration

How your horse determines dosage

How to create a therapeutic environment

How to be safe, working with AZ and your horse
