Second round of 1 to 1 practical zoom sessions: A Jotform will be sent out in advance to reserve your session in September, November, December or January.
For these sessions you will be using a pre-recorded session (mp4 file which you can download from Zoom, if you use this platform to record the session). Do not edit your film. Then, during the 1 2 1 with Caroline and the rest of the class you will share your 'computer screen.' She will guide you through what you need to do (you do not need to send any films to us): Keep the video to 1 hour max duration so that there is enough time to ask questions and comment. Everyone seen in the video must complete the video release form. This form needs to be sent to us prior to being able to watch your 1-2-1 session in class.
It’s important that the video clearly shows the entire dog, as well as the positioning of the bottle/s. Caroline will need to assess both breathing and body language. It is therefore best if you, or your client uses a laptop to record the session (a mobile phone is not suitable).
We recommend that the video for your second round of 1-2-1 sessions is recorded after you have gained experience working with at least several dogs. Use your time to refine your skill set as much as possible, Caroline will then help you identify and develop any areas that may need further attention.
It is easiest to record the session via Zoom (whether you are present with the client, or working remotely) and then download it for use in the 1-2-1. Please aim to keep the video to a maximum length of 1 hour.
Note: If you are working remotely via Zoom, make sure that the recording is fixed on the client and does not switch back to you each time you talk, otherwise Caroline will not be able to observe the dog being worked with. You can achieve this by:
-
Start your Zoom meeting with the client.
-
Pin the client’s video:
-
Hover over their video feed.
-
Click the three dots (•••) in the upper-right corner of their video.
-
Choose "Pin".
-
This will keep their video full screen on your device and is what gets recorded in a local recording.
-

Masterclass Module 1 Review
In this important homework you must submit a written review of each of the 16 Masterclasses in Module 1 to summarise the main points you have learnt. The review should be concise and kept to between 200 to 400 words per lesson and must be submitted as a PDF file within the first 6 months of the course. This work is for your own experience and learning. Please document any follow-up sessions. It will not be graded, but Caroline will need to see your work. For students with English as a foreign language please let us know if you need a longer time to complete this homework. Deadline for 2025 Diploma class: 31st July 2025/ now extended to October 2025.
Practical Case studies
Students will need to work on 5 different dogs throughout the year. Each dog will need an issue requiring help. Details can be logged on the Ingraham App, or emailed as a PDF file. This work is for your own experience and learning. Please document any follow-up sessions. It will not be graded, but Caroline will need to see your work. Case studies must be completed within 11 months of the start of the training, but not begun until after Part 1 of the ITP. We do not need to see a video recording of these sessions. Similar to ITP Part 2, You will need to show a recorded zoom session/ or recorded in person practical, working with a dog you have not previously worked. In this recording you will be expected to guide the owner/ carer/ guardian in the same way that Caroline will be guiding you in the ITP's you will have with her. The dog will be expected to have either a behavioural or physical issue. The recording must be of a good quality and show the offering of remedies and the dog's responses. Caroline will need to see eyes, breathing responses (nose and lungs). You will be asked questions relating to the session and your methodology. Allow 2 to 3 hours for this review. The exam will be graded as either a pass or a retake.
